In what has become typical 2020 fashion, the Town & Country Days Parade was cancelled yet again. The first time was during the lock-down when it looked like there was no hope for an event in sight. Then, restrictions were lifted and we jumped at the chance to have a socially-distant parade. Soon after we announced the parade would be back, we found out that the Old Alpine bridge reconstruction detour would be on the parade route. We could no longer get approval to block traffic on State Street or Division for the Parade and had no choice but to cancel.
Despite having cancelled the parade twice, we here at the Chamber remain persistent in providing entertainment during the Town & Country Days week! In replacement of the parade that would normally have taken place on Saturday, July 18, the Chamber will be hosting a Tractor Brigade Friday evening, July 17th. Tractors will make their way from the SARA Sports Complex to Balyeat Field where they will park for a small Tractor show. The Tractor Brigade will start at 6 PM and music will follow in the Town Square at 7:30.
If you are interested in participating, please fill out and submit the Tractor Brigade form by July 6th!
