The perfect place to shop and hang out!

On the first evening of Town and Country Days, Sparta celebrated the grand opening of the new Town Square with a ribbon cutting!

​

The new Town Square features cozy outdoor seating, a permanent stage along the creek, and public restrooms. This new space will be the hub for many Sparta events! Beautiful Nash Creek will be the perfect backdrop for live music, markets, and more in Sparta Town Square. 

 

The space will be used for the Summer Concert Series, where local artists will play for our community. The Kids Market, Farmer’s Market, and Artisan Craft Market will also be in this area, bringing more opportunity to our town. The restrooms will be available every day and the community room will be open during select community events.

With a group of our amazing partners and community members, we cut the ribbon on a building, but it really opens the doors for our townspeople to connect and experience the beauty that Sparta has to offer.

This investment is funded through several grants including: Revitalization and Placemaking Grant, Community Development Block Grant Funds, and Downtown Development Authority Funds. These public funds complement Sparta's recent history of private investment with monumental capital improvements that invest in the core downtown.

The prime location for this space, in the heart of downtown Sparta, offers more opportunities for locals and visitors alike to enjoy our small-town community. People  able to walk to nearby shops, boutiques, and restaurants to experience and explore the best of Sparta.
