Where to Shop for the Holidays?

Christmas-time is just around the corner, and lots of people are already starting their gift shopping! The big question is, where are you going to shop this year? Of course, you have plenty of options, but we encourage you when you can, choose local, and choose Sparta!

Billion dollar corporations don't support our community. The Little League Teams? The Sparta Fire Department? The High School Marching Band? Those are all supported by small local businesses! And when you support a Sparta business, you're also supporting the teams, organizations, and non-profits that business donates to. In other words, you're helping our community to thrive.

We know you can't find everything in Sparta. For many reasons, it's not always feasible to shop local every single time. But when you have the opportunity to, look locally first! Sparta shops and boutiques offer many trending items that would make perfect gifts!

3 Easy Ways to Support Local:

1. Join us for Sip & Shop Weekends! If life is busy, book yourself a night away with friends! Shop, sip a social district drink, and enjoy downtown Sparta. Our next two Sip & Shop Weekend Dates are: Doe Days - November 13-15 & Hometown Christmas - December 11-13

2. Give Sparta Bucks, a local gift certificate accepted at over 20 area businesses! Sparta Bucks are the perfect gift for the teacher, coworker, or family member that you don't know how to shop for. They can use the bucks for something they love, and their dollars will strengthen our local economy! You can purchase Sparta Bucks in our office (194 E. Division) and we'll print them out for you, or you can buy them online here.

3. Share joy online! It costs nothing to write a five-star review, post positive comments, and follow your favorite small businesses on social media. These things can help other discover amazing local businesses, and they can be encouraging to small business owners.
