Community Designed Banners Project!
Join us in adding local art throughout Sparta! This project is open to artists of all ages living in Sparta and the surrounding region. Artists can submit artwork entries that will be printed onto banners and hung throughout Sparta.
Selected artwork will be hung from June 1st until October 1st. Artists are open to draw what is inspiring to them and how they feel connected to Sparta. 40 entries will be selected at random to be displayed. Keep in mind that the artwork must be formatted to fit in an 18”x 20” space and will be hung on the light poles. After the banners are printed, the artwork will be included in an online portfolio accessible at spartachamber.com. All entries must be submitted by April 1st to be considered. Contact the chamber office at (616) 887-2454 with any questions. This project is supported in part by the Michigan Arts and Culture Council.
