Calling all local artists! Would you like your artwork displayed in Sparta? We are looking for area artists of any age to submit artwork that will get printed on light pole banners! The banners will be hung up in Sparta!
Artists can submit artwork entries that will be printed onto banners and hung throughout Sparta. Selected artwork will be hung from June 1st until October 1st. Artists are open to draw what is inspiring to them and how they feel connected to Sparta. When drawing your work, keep in mind that the artwork must be formatted to fit in an 18” x 20” space and will be hung on the light poles. For anyone who would like a template, there are some available at the Sparta Chamber of Commerce office (194 E Division St.), however, a template is not required to submit your work. Any medium of your choice may be used, including markers, colored pencils, paint, digital illustration, etc. After the banners are printed, the artwork will be included in an online portfolio accessible at spartachamber.com.
