If you've taken a visit to downtown Sparta, you'll notice that there have been some big changes in the retail scene. With addition as well as renovation, the retail options downtown are starting to grow!
Our local downtown hardware store has transitioned from Rogers Do It Best hardware brand to an Ace’s Hardware brand. With a few refurbishments, new product came in and the Ace’s staff worked to get the store in tip-top shape for their grand opening August 23 & 24th. Ace has better brand recognition and a more diverse product selection, hence the switch. Ace also does more in marketing their products and promotions, which help to increase sales. Ace is excited to be in Sparta and is looking forward to ways they can get involved in the community.
Another big change you may have noticed is the revamping of 201 East Division and the addition of a new a new boutique. Creekside Clover is a women’s home and lifestyle boutique that carries a variety of stylish and interesting products. They even carry some things for the guys! We can’t talk about retail in Downtown Sparta without mentioning our hometown favorite Sparta Variety! If you find the chance to visit, you’ll be able to see that they’re on top of the game and already have their fall decorations out and ready to go. The window displays at Sparta Variety have always been a personal favorite for the Chamber. It’s also a great place to go if you’re in need of some last minute school supplies!
