â The Lights Parade hosted and brought to us by the Sparta Lions Club [these volunteers are fantastic and do such great work in our community đ We appreciate our Lions đŚ members!] begins at 6 pm. Line the streets downtown to watch the parade come into town and park in the street! 30 lighted floats and semi trucks will roll into town and you can walk around them to see them up close!
â The Dance with Me, by Amber Marie Performance Team will perform twice downtown near the Big Christmas Tree att 5:15 pm and 5:30 pm! The studio will also be selling soup, chili, and a bake sale at the studio as fundraisers!
â Santa đ will officially turn on the lights and the huge Christmas tree đ downtown with a countdown following the parade.
â The Lions đŚ hosting the Great Wreath and Turkey giveaway! Up until 6:45pm (come anytime, throughout the day!) and sign up to enter to win 1 of 70 frozen turkeys đŚ or 1 of 50 gorgeous wreaths đ- BUT you must be present to win to pick up your prize by 7:30 pm. We canât hold the prizes after 7:30 pm.
â Shop Local đ Did you know that the only reason we get to continue to do đ All đ The đ Fun đ Things throughout the year, including the Shop Sparta Event is BECAUSE of the financial support of our local businesses. Your support is vital to keeping their doors đŞ open and to allowing us to host amazing community events, like this!
â Vendors - we âĽď¸ our local makers, too, so stop by to support the booths at Sparta United Methodist Church, North Kent Eagles, and Dance With Me, By Amber Marie!
â Food đ Hit up our local amazing eateries, and when they fill up, there are a few other food options planning to set up including Ronnie Mackâs Hotbox Hash House, Happy Camper Donuts, Rockinâ Dogs, and Porknstein LLC.
â Scout Troop 704 will be handing out free hot cocoa âď¸ supported Meadowlark Retirement Home!
â Tom's Hometown Bakery will be handing out free sâmoreâs kits to roast over our community bon fires.
â Candy Cane Lane đŹ fully lighted thanks to the support and lighting efforts of Independent Bank! And C&I Building Maintenance, Inc. volunteered to bring the smiles to the kids with their work along with some other awesome volunteers!
â The Howard Christensen Nature Center is hosting a wreath making in the Civic Center and the West Michigan Arts Council hosting live music, adult beverages, and decor on display.
â Free tractor wagon rides will be out front of the Civic Center from 6:15 until the fireworks!
â The FinaleâŚ.. đđđ Fireworks! Set to launch at 7:30 pm from Balyeat, with viewing from the parking lot at 201 E. Division.
