Local Fall Fun Attractions

Are you still looking for fun things to do this fall season? There are loads of fun things to do in the area, so to help you out, we've compiled a list of some of the fun things in the area!



Are you looking to get your thrill on this spooky season? Abandoned Acres Farm is the place to be! Sitting right on the ridge, it's conveniently located near downtown Sparta. And the price is great too! For $20, you can enjoy one of their haunted walk-throughs. Enter the Bloody Butchers Corn Maze to learn the tale of Old Eli. Or take the plunge into the circus in the Big Top Terrors Corn Maze. Enjoy both for just $30!


The Chamber has always been dedicated to bringing fun activities to our community. Every weekend, we're handing out bags of apples along with a special gift to everyone who stops by the office on Saturday 11 AM - 1 PM. On October 17, enjoy apples and a surprise gift! On the 24th, pick out a FREE Halloween costume to take with your apples. And on October 31st, Halloween day, come grab a bucket filled with sweets and goodies!


Ed Dunneback & Girls Farm Market offers a wide range of good eats to choose from. From appetizers to main dishes, and pasta to pie, Dunneback is filled with dishes that have been "Made with Love" on their menu. And if you're a fan of adult beverages, you're sure to find something among their collection of beers, hard ciders, and wine that suits your taste. The fun doesn't stop there! Take up a challenge and try out their corn maze or pick your own apples and pumpkins!


The fun on the Ridge continues at Fruit Ridge Hayrides. Check out their selection of goods at their farm market or try something new at the Little Barn Bakery. Try their award-winning apple cider with a sweet donut to top it off! Pick your own pumpkins and apples while enjoying the company of their petting zoo. Take a ride on their horse-drawn hayrides or go for a spin in the Pig Train. Don't miss out on their corn maze, pony rides, and creative farm art!


At the Klein Cider Mill and Market, you can find in-season produce like apples and pumpkins. As well as Indian corn, corn stalks, and hay/straw bales for all your decorating needs. You can of course pick up some apple cider as well as honey, maple syrup, and candy apples while you're there. Or try some of their premium Kelin Beef!


If you're heading south out of Sparta on M-37, swing by Schwallier's country basket! Pick some apples and find the perfect pumpkin for your carving creation. Swing by the market to grab anything from soups, honey, syrup, cider, and of course a donut for the road! There's something for the whole family at Schwallier's. The little ones can explore the play area and go for a ride on the Cow Train. Go for exploration in the corn maze or relax on a wagon ride.


For all your apple needs, make your way to the Snappy Apple Farm Market. With over 50 apple varieties and other in-season produce selections, you'll be able to find the perfect apple to fit whatever craving or recipe you have. While you're there, you can cool down with their cider slush.


Recognized as the "2017 Barn of the Year" by the Michigan Barn Preservation Network, Steffens Orchard is the perfect place to visit to dive into the "cottage-core" aesthetic. With plenty of apple varieties to choose from and a vast pumpkin patch, you're sure to make a successful U-pick visit at Steffens. Make sure you stop by their market on your way out for donuts, cider, pies, and more!


Wine lovers rejoice! Stoney Ridge Vineyards is so close to home, there's no reason to not go! Make a reservation to visit the tasting room and try a wine from their high-quality selection. They have options for red wine and white wine lovers!


As you can see, there's an option for everyone to enjoy the fall season this year!
