A big red tent, a clown juggling, an acrobat flying through the air, a scene that sounds straight from a movie, but it's not just in film, it's real and coming to Sparta: The circus!
The Culpepper & Merriweather Circus is coming to Balyeat Field on June 23! The fun starts at 9 am with the tent raising! You can watch them raise the tent and learn about the show's daily operations! You'll have the chance to meet their animals up close and learn about their routine and care!
They will be performing at 5 pm and 7:30 pm. At the shows, you will get to watch 90 minutes of incredible stunts and tricks that will amaze you! All people, young and old alike, will love the show! So invite your friends and family to join you at the circus!
In anticipation of the big day, we are hosting a candy guessing game! You can stop into the Chamber Office, Compass Credit Union, or the Library and check out the jar of candy there! There will be slips of paper for your guesses! Whoever has the closest guess will win a free child's ticket to the circus! (children must have a paid adult with them). We will announce the winner on June 19!
