August: What to expect in Sparta!!

The summer days can be the best days, especially while you're enjoying a fun event in Sparta! We don't call it, I LOVE SUMMER IN SPARTA for nothing, after all!! Check it out HERE!

You will find so many fun things to do in August, here are a few highlights!

The Sparta Celtic fest is ALL about entertainment and the gates open at 11 am. The entry is at 75 N. Union and the gate is located at the rear of ChoiceOne Bank under the "arch" that leads to Rogers Park. The festival is ALWAYS free entry and is dog friendly! There will be vendors in Rogers Park, Irish and Scottish bands and dance groups throughout the day, a food court with some authentic food and some traditional festival food.

Summer in Sparta always means MUSIC, and we have TWO fun nights planned. Yes, we know, it says "AUGUST SCHEDULE" but July 30 is allllllmost August. Bring a chair, a cooler, some take-out food, some friends, and enjoy an evening in Sparta listening to some tunes in our Sparta Town Square!

Our concert series wouldn't be complete with our fun Celtic-themed Concert night to get us ready for the Sparta Celtic Fest which will be on Saturday, August 14!

At the Wednesday night Concert, Paddy's Cure will be part of the Party in the Park and Paint the Park Plaid festivities! This band is a festival favorite and a Party in the Park Alumni! We are happy to have them returning this year!

Thursday nights in Sparta is where it is happening! Market VENDORS from 5-8 pm every Thursday, local MUSIC from artists like Brookie & the Nice, Jason Eller Band, and Jacob Clyde Band!

Grab some take-out food or get food on site! We have runners to grab your favorite Cocktail-To-Go and enjoy an adult beverage in the Sparta Town Square. Local boutiques are open with something to find for everyone! Enjoy an outdoor evening in Michigan with food, drink, music, shopping, and in August we are handing out popcorn buckets for kiddos (and kiddos at heart!)

Calling all superheroes and princesses (and everyone in between!) to the dance party of the season in Rogers Park at 6 pm on Wednesday, August 11. Games, dancing, and prizes will make the youngsters squeal with delight. Food will be on-site thanks to Rockin' Dogs, Big Mikes Kettle Corn, Silver Star Cafe, and the Underground Cookie Club! Dancers from Dance with me by Amber Marie will be in full dress for photos with the little ones!
