Come to Shop Sparta on November 19!

Are you ready to get in the holiday spirit in downtown Sparta? Come join us on November 19 for a festive evening, which will surely leave you with magical memories! Shop Sparta presented by DTE Energy will start at 5:00 pm in Town Square. There will be s'more roasting at the large firepits, free hot chocolate with Scout Troop 704, roasted chestnuts for sale, food trucks to check out, and plenty of local shops and vendors (located at the North Kent Eagles as well as Dance with Me by Amber Marie) to stop into and get some holiday shopping checked off your list! Make sure to Shop Local, Shop Sparta!

There will be free horse-drawn carriage rides from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Pick up will be on Union Street near the library.

The lighted parade will begin at 6:00pm and come down Division. The floats will park in the street for the evening, so there will be time to check them out closer after they are safely parked.

Directly following the parade around 6:30, Santa will light the Christmas tree in Town.

At 7:00 pm the Great Turkey and Christmas Tree Giveaway sponsored by the Sparta Lions Club will begin. Want a chance to win one of the turkeys or Christmas trees? Sparta TODAY will have volunteers walking around before the parade helping you all get signed up! If you missed one of the volunteers you will still have time to enter the drawing outside the North Kent Eagles after the parade.

A Christmas Firework Show sponsored by Sable Homes will begin at 7:30 pm. Stand in Town Square and watch the nostalgic show.

Anytime from 6:00-8:00 pm make sure to stop into the Civic Center for cookies and cider with the West Michigan Arts Council. There will be live music and a doll display to check out. Howard Christensen Nature Center will also be in the Civic Center to do Make & Take wreaths for $10.
