Dinner theater Oct 14… yes, please!

For a great night out, the West Michigan Arts Council is producing its 7th Annual Dinner      Theater event on Friday, October 14th at the Sparta Civic Center at 75 N. Union Street in Sparta. Enjoy four short plays by award winning Broadway playwright Christopher Durang, produced by the Hit ‘n’ Run Players and directed by Kent Schuster. Doors open at 5:30 pm, dinner starts at 6:00 pm with a full catered menu including a choice of two entrees, salad, rolls, potato and vegetable and a wide assortment of dessert items. The event also includes a cash bar, proceeds will benefit the arts council.

 

After dinner, sit back and enjoy four of playwright Christopher Durang’s most famous short plays. Durang is an American playwright known for works of outrageous and often absurd comedy. Included in this “Evening of Comedy & Laughter” are:Mrs. Sorkin, Wanda’s Visit, Funeral Parlor and DMV Tyrant. There will be a short intermission after the first two plays. Durang’s work is intended for mature audiences, guests should be over 14 please.
