Summertime is at its peak, and Sparta's got all the fun activities to keep you busy this July!
Concerts in the Park has already treated us to some great live music, and July brings even more amazing bands to Rogers Park! Have you taken advantage of the Picnic Dinners To Go yet? If not, what are you waiting for? They're the perfect addition to Concerts in the Park! All you have to do is order one from a participating restaurant, and you've got a delicious dinner to bring with you to the concert! No prep, no kitchen mess, and no hurry! It's an easy and delicious way to get dinner! Also, don't forget about Social District, and make sure to grab an adult beverage to go from a participating Sparta restaurant! You can enjoy that drink in the park while listening to live music! There's an awesome Concert lineup this month, check it out below, then head to Rogers Park on Wednesday at 6:30!

July 19 is no ordinary Concert in Rogers Park, it also features the Lion's Chicken Dinner from 4:30-7:30! The dinner includes a half chicken cooked over charcoal, pork BBQ, baked beans, coleslaw, roll, and water. All for only $10 at the Civic Center! You won't want to miss this delectable meal put on by the Lion's Club. It's a community favorite every year! You can finish off your meal with something sweet at 7 pm when free popsicles are handed out!
The Adult Kickball League launches on July 18! The season lasts for 4 weeks, each game being held on Tuesdays at 6:30 at the Sparta Sports Park. You can round up some friends and make a team or you can sign up individually and we'll put you on a team! It's $20 per person, which includes a T-shirt.
Don't forget about Thursdays in the Square! Every week, listen to live music in Sparta Town Square and support local by shopping, getting a social district drink, or getting food from our local businesses! And you don't want to miss the Spin to Win Wheel! Win varying prizes, from t-shirts to Sparta Bucks! Check it out from 6-8 every week!
Thursday, July 20, is a special Thursday on the Square. Why? Because of the kids' market! Sparta has many young entrepreneurs, and they're going to be selling their products in Sparta Town Square! This will be our biggest Youth Entrepreneurial Market yet, with over 40 kids in attendance! There will be a huge variety of products sold! Invite your friends and family, grab your cash, and swing by Sparta Town Square to support these young entrepreneurs!
Friday, July 21 kicks off Sparta Town & Country Days 2023! Sparta Town & Country Days is a beloved community tradition that celebrates the history of Sparta as well as the current community that makes it such a wonderful place today. Friday features community favorite activities such as the pedal tractor pull and the haybale toss as well as food trucks, a beer tent, and more! The fun continues the next day, Saturday, July 22, with the Annual Sparta Town and Country Days Parade, a celebration in the square, canvas painting with Refabulous Studio, and more! These two days are jam-packed with all kinds of fun for the whole family to enjoy, you don't want to miss it!
