Sparta Awarded Tree Planting Grant from Consumers Energy

Annually, the Consumers Energy- Forestry Operations Department awards municipalities a grant to assist with tree planting programs that focus on planting the right kinds of trees in the right locations. This summer, The Village of Sparta applied for this grant, and we are so excited to announce that we were awarded a total of $800 to put towards planting new trees in the Village! We are very grateful to have this opportunity to improve our community, so the Village of Sparta would like to extend our appreciation to Consumers Energy for awarding us this grant! We are truly thankful for this opportunity to bring in trees that will increase our community's beauty and better Sparta's ecosystem. Thank you, Consumers Energy!
