The Inside Scoop on Shop Sparta

If you've never been to Shop Sparta (sponsored by Compass Credit Union), then keep on reading! I've got all the tips to help you get the most out of this fabulous event! The event is taking place on November 18 from 5-8 pm, you won't want to miss it!

First of all, it's gonna be a little chilly, so bundling up is always a good idea. But if you can't find your favorite pair of mittens, don't worry, listed below are plenty of opportunities for you to keep warm!

1. The Civic Center will be open for you to come inside and enjoy the heat. Not only that, but there will also be cider, cookies, and live music. Heat, food, and entertainment? Sign me up! But wait, it gets even better! The Howard Christiansen Nature Center will be doing a make-and-take wreath activity for only $10! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, the West Michigan Arts Council will be showing off its Doll Display!

2. Imagine yourself next to a crackling fire, toasting an ooey-gooey perfect s'more! Sounds cozy, right? It doesn't have to be just a dream, Tom's Bakery is providing marshmallow roasting in Sparta Town Square! You can gather around the fire pits and make yourself some marshmallow deliciousness (while warming up your hands!)

3. What's better than hot cocoa? FREE hot cocoa! And that's just what Scout Troop 704 will be handing out in Town Square. So you can walk around and enjoy yourself while enjoying a nice, hot drink!

It wouldn't be Shop Sparta without plenty of opportunities for you to Shop! Whether it be Christmas shopping or perusing the shops to get something for yourself, this is the event to be at!

1. All of the shops in Sparta Town Square will be open with tons of clothes, candles, treats, and more for you to look at and buy! No matter what you're looking for, you're sure to find it in one of these shops!

2. Dance with Me will be open with local vendors! Come shop for handmade goods and crafts that will make the perfect Christmas presents!

Who else loves driving around and seeing Christmas lights during the holidays? Lucky for you, at Shop Sparta presented by Compass Credit Union, the Christmas lights drive to you during the Lighted Parade! Watch fun floats drive past decked out with Christmas lights and decorations!

Directly following will be the Christmas tree lighting! Grab a glow stick being handed out or bring your own to join in on the light-up fun!

Shop Sparta by Compass Credit Union takes place right in the middle of dinner time! Lucky for you, Sparta boasts some pretty amazing restaurants!
