Town & Country Days 2022 Might be the Best One Yet!

It's a pretty bold claim, but I'm pretty sure we can live up to it. There are a lot of cool things coming to Sparta this Town & Country Days, check some highlights out below!

  1. Concerts in the Park (Wed. July 20) - This will be one concert you don't want to miss, Treeskin and The Accidentals! Get ready for a great night with a mix of music including indie folk, pop, bluegrass, rock, and classical! There's something for everyone and the best part is: it's free! So bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show from 6:00-8:30 pm! And what makes a great concert even better? Food! Lucky for you, the Lions will be providing an amazing chicken dinner from 4:30-7:30 pm in the Civic Center. It includes a half chicken, pork BBQ, baked beans, coleslaw, and a roll. The whole meal is only $10!

  2. Family Farm Night (Thur. July 21) - It wouldn't be Town & Country Days without the Hay Bale Toss and Pedal Tractor Pull! But they're not the only fun coming to Sparta for Family Farm Night! You will have the opportunity to meet live farm animals, including the World's Largest Living Holstein! Do you love tractors? Because parked in downtown Sparta will be a whole lineup of antique tractors that you can check out!

  3. Dog Showcase (Thur. July 21) - The Barkery will be bringing to Sparta a Dog Showcase as part of the Farm Night Fun! It will be a laid-back contest that gives you the chance to showcase your dog! Register at to participate!

  4. Sparta Beer Bustle (Fri. July 22) - Travel to the different bars in Sparta for beer gardens! Have fun going around to the Town Square, Brick Haus, Downtown Trini's & Margarita Joe's, North Kent Eagles Club, and the Sparta Pub! Many places will be 21 and up. Town Square will also have live music (That Beatles Thing!) and food trucks (Dune Buggy, Fork in the Road, Happy Camper Doughnuts, Kona Ice, Kool Breze, Papa Piccione's, Rockin' Dogs)!

  5. Parade (Sat. July 23) - A favorite Sparta Tradition! Many different businesses and community groups will be marching through the streets of Sparta. Come on down and join in the fun!

  6. The Celebration in the Square (Sat. July 23) - Join us in Sparta Town Square for tons of family-friendly fun! Games, crafts, face painting, and more! Plus, a whole lineup of food trucks to curb all your cravings! (Dune Buggy, Fork in the Road, Happy Camper Doughnuts, Kona Ice, Kool Breze, Papa Piccione's, and Rockin Dogs)

  7. Stage Entertainment (Sat July 23) - Watch the crowning of the Young Johnny Appleseed and Miss Appleblossom winners! Then, prepared to be wowed by a demonstration by Impact Karate and a performance by Dance with Me!

  8. Vintage Base Ball (Sat. July 23) - Calling all baseball and history fans! This game is going to combine the two! Watch base ball played by the rules and customs of the 19th century! The players wear uniforms from that time period and have done their research to recreate the game based on how it used to be played.

  9. Beer Garden (Sat. July 23) - Come have a drink and relax with friends! From 5-7 pm, bring your friends for a wine tasting! And from 7-11 pm, The Bronk Bros Band will be bringing their "Rockin' Hillbilly Extravaganza" to Town Square!

  10. Fireworks (Sat. July 23) - Get ready for a spectacular fireworks show in Balyeat Field! You can view them in Sparta Town Square, in the grass area between Dance with Me and Auto Value, on the bridge, and in the roped-off seating area in Balyeat Field.
